The MAC Effect

The outlook the administration had was positive and beneficial to furthering your education. Our job, as a student, was to live up to this while showing our appreciation and using the laptops effectively.
November of 2007 was the beginning of a new outlook for our district. Change was important and much needed. There is an effort that needs to come forth from everyone for things to work and have a positive reflection on the schools. As a high school student, you simply should know better. There is a time and place to act in certain situations and in this case, using the laptops responsibly. There are distractions that come along with the new computers. Even though there are rules and regulations to be followed, that students agreed upon, unacceptable use is still in effect throughout the classrooms.  Continuous misuse of the Internet and programs such as Photo Booth, iTunes, and iMovie keep the administration in a stir. Music pounding out of the speakers in the hall, amateur and vulgar music videos being created, and community sites such as Facebook being accessed all contribute to the problem.
Due to the repetitive warnings some of the activity has died down. Students still need to take responsibility and focus on using the laptops to help benefit them. We want to continue to make the best out of our last years in high school. Some of the things we overlook and negative choices made, will not be acceptable in a workplace or higher institutions.
